Taxes
First, Ron Paul is the only limited government, lower taxes candidate. He has never voted to increase taxes and desires to cut government spending and taxes needed to support the spending. You cannot increase government (whether it is “infrastructure” as used by the Big Spenders, or transfer payments and subsidies,) and expect to lower taxes.
Free Trade
Ron Paul supports real free trade not more governmental organizations such as NAFTA, GATT, CAFTA, etc. Free trade is simple… we won’t tax imports and other countries do not tax our exports.
War and Foriegn Policy
The war in Iraq was sold to us with false information. The area is more dangerous now than when we entered it. We destroyed a regime hated by our direct enemies, the jihadists, and created thousands of new recruits for them. We have no business making “regime changes” and trying to knock down or prop up other governments. We are not and can never be the policemen of the world.
Personal Liberty
The biggest threat to personal liberty is the government. We must limit the ability of the government to collect and store data about citizens’ personal matters. Every government agency restricts individual choice. We need to cut back on government and increase personal freedom. The Constitution has a very limited role for the Federal government. Washington has no business being involved with education, abortion, religion, race relations, housing, etc. These are the rights left to the individuals and the states.
Yes, Ron Paul CAN WIN
The so-called “practical” political commentators say that Ron Paul can’t win so we should unite behind a “winner” even if we do not support their views. This is the old “unite for unity” trap and is akin to Machiavelli’s “the end justifies the means” argument. Let’s vote for the best person…Ron Paul for President in 2008!

Last week I came into the office and retrieved a message from Verizon stating my phone system was making strange calls to the Phillipines. After a morning of calls to Verizon, its Fraud Dept, the local Verizon, etc., they confirmed that my system was maliciously hacked.
When my telephone system installer came he removed the main box and told me that when he set up the system he did not put in a password. This was a told pain and loss of money and time for me. You should IMMEDIATELY check your telephone system to assure the administrative password is installed.

The House passed a bill extending the moratorium on Internet access taxes by seven years, putting the period on par with a recently passed Senate bill and sending the bill to President Bush for his signature.
The bill applies only to taxes on Internet access, not to purchases made over the Internet. Many States are pushing hard to enforce Sales and Use Tax laws against internet purchases. For example, New Jersey has attacked online purchasers of Cigarrettes from Indian Reservations with enormous tax bills.

At the current existing-home sales rate of 5.04 million units a year, it would take a full 10.5 months to sell the 4.4 million existing homes now on the market, according to data released by the National Association of Realtors on Oct. 24. The supply of existing single-family homes was at 10.2 months in September—the highest since February, 1988. Compare that with the height of the housing boom in January, 2005, when it reached a record low 3.6 months.
The housing decline in some former boom areas, such as the New Jersey shore is even more dramatic. Prices in some areas are declining rapidly with sales prices more than 1/3 off their peak.
Today’s 1/4 point drop in rates by the Federal Reserve Board should help stablize mortgage interest rates. This may slow the housing decline
